1976 OMEGA GENEVE Vintage Automatic Day Date Mens Watch - Stainless Steel
First Double Quick-Set - Gorgeous Restored Condition - 100% Omega Today's offering showcases this cool and gorgeously restored example of one of Omega's classic vintage Geneve double quick-setting watches. Here are some of its features: * Pioneering so-called "double quick-set" day and date features - Omega created the caliber 1022 movement with a double quick-set capability for convenient setting of the day and date. Though many connoisseurs associate the idea of the double quick-set watch with Rolex, which first offered the President model with this "new" feature in late 1990, Omega was a pioneer of the technology in large scale production watches. * Faster beat (28,800 bph) balance system for greater accuracy (and this watch is the higher 23 jeweled version) * Full size 35mm case - in between the sizes of a Rolex Date and a Rolex Datejust. It has a water-resistant style case with screw back, strong matte black dial, and fine Omega movement originally adjusted to two positions. It has all of its original parts and has just finished a true expertly done restoration. Its case is gorgeous mint with strong lines. Its original Omega dial has been carefully previously refinished. With the exception of the Geneve script, which was done in an earlier period font, the rest of the dial presents perfectly and could pass as Omega factory done. A Master Watchmaker has fully serviced the watch which consists of fully disassembling the movement, carefully inspecting each part, replacing any overly worn components, reassembling and lubricating the movement, and extensive timing testing and regulation (a $595 value). It continues to run extremely strong and true. We have tested it on a machine that spins it in all directions simulating it being worn on the wrist - it is keeping time on par with a brand new Omega. For the finishing touch a new calfskin leather strap and aftermarket Omega style buckle has been installed making it ready for immediate enjoyment. Included with the purchase is a one-year warranty on the movement and its function, a custom printed Certificate of Authenticity, and a new timing certificate attesting to its performance.
